He may have been fired on Wednesday night’s episode of The Apprentice but Duane Bryan has revealed that he has dealt with a lot worse than facing Lord Sugar in the boardroom.

At the age of sixteen Duane was thrown out by his mum for his aggressive behaviour and forced to live in a youth hostel for three years. He had no money or qualifications and so decided to turn his life around by going to university and studying business.

The drinks distribution company director told The Sun:

“I got kicked out by mum when I was 16. I was trouble. I had to bring myself up. I got it wrong until my early 20s. Being kicked out was the best thing that happened to me.”

Duane was fired after his team lost the task of creating a new fitness programme. However, with this determination we don’t think he will find it hard to pick himself back up again.
