It was announced today that  Channel 4 drama Top Boy has been renewed for a second series. The popular drama starring Kano and Ashley Walters will return for four more episodes.

The show picked up an average of 1.9 million viewers when it aired earlier this month, and clearly Channel 4 are just as excited about it as we are.

Channel 4′s head of drama Camilla Cambell said

We were delighted that Top Boy resonated so widely and captured a world behind the headlines in a deeply humane and absorbing way, and look forward to inviting its loyal viewers back next year.

Excited much? Well so are we! Unfortunately we’ll have to wait until next year to see the show but we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait.
