Rapper Dizzee Rascal was kicked off a British Airways flight this weekend after allegedly arguing and verbally abusing a British Airways stewardess.

The 25-year-old went bonkers after  having to wait for over an hour for his flight to take off, due to technical problems with the airplane. Police were called to the scene and Dizzee, who was on his way to Portugal to perform at the Optimus Alive Festival, was escorted off the plane.

However the drama doesn’t stop there as an airport source told the Daily Mail

The singer was verbally abusive to staff. This will not be tolerated. He was taken off the aircraft and was not allowed to continue his route on any other British Airways plane. There will be an internal investigation and a decision will be taken as to whether he will ever be allowed to fly with British Airways again.

Meanwhile Dizzee’s spokesman pinned the blame on BA staff, claiming that “unprofessional behaviour by one of the cabin crew led to a confrontation whereby mutual parties agreed Dizzee leave the plane”.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but having the police escort you out of anywhere doesn’t sound like a ‘mutual’ agreement at all.

Did Dizzee deserve to be kicked off and possibly banned for life by British Airways? Or is the airline over-reacting?
